Offline Advertising Secrets: How To Use Display Ads To Get Targeted Visitors To Your Website

No matter what you are selling or promoting online, you should also be using offline advertising techniques as part of your marketing plan.

There are several different methods of offline advertising that you can use. This article focuses on using display ads. I’ll first tell you what they are and then discuss the different ways to use them.

What are display ads?

Simply put, display ads are text ads that are formatted as camera-ready ads. Meaning that they are typeset to a specific size and are ready for print. Display ads that aren’t printed don’t need to be camera-ready, but they do need to be formatted to the publishers standards of whom you are advertising with.

Who publishes display ads?

Publishers who publish newspapers, magazines, adsheets, and tabloids, mailing services all publish display ads. Display ads are not only published via print though. They can also be published on websites, in rss feeds, via promotional CD’s and more. Today I’m only going to talk about the offline ways to use display ads.

How can you use display ads?

No matter what you are trying to promote or sell, you will find targeted advertising where you can use display ads to promote your business.

If you are trying to sell fishing lures via your website, you could find magazines dedicated to fishing that you can place display ads in. Include your website address in your display ads, and you will have laser targeted traffic coming to your website.

You can use the above scenario with anything you are promoting or selling. All you have to do is find people who publish to your target market.

MLM or opportunity ads are the easiest to promote. There are virtually thousands of options that are out there for this market. You can get your ads in newspapers, opportunity tabloids, adsheets, and more that are sent to opportunity seekers. I know of one site that distributes your opportunity ads on CDs and the response from this one method of display ad advertising will be proof positive to you that display ads DO work and get you laser targeted website visitors.

Even if you offer a service, you can still use display ads to get targeted visitors to your website. For instance, if you offer an accounting service. Find publishers who distribute magazines, trade papers, adsheets, and the like to businesses, or offer financial information. Having your display ad in front of such targeted readers is like guaranteed money.

I hope this article has shown you that using display ads is a very powerful tactic in getting laser targeted visitors to your site no matter what you are selling or promoting. Always look for the most unique methods and there you will find the best methods to help you in your advertising efforts.

Offline Advertising Secrets: Adsheet Advertising Revealed

There are many great ways to advertise online. One such way is advertising in adsheets.

What are adsheets?

Adsheets are generally a sheet of camera-ready ads in different sizes on an 8×11 flyer that are circulated to different targeted viewers via mail.

For instance I publish an adsheet called the Tenneessee 5,000. It’s an adsheet that is circulated to 5,000 opportunity seekers each month. Ads offering business services, work at home opportunities, information products, and the like do well in this adsheet. If you were trying to sell a car though, your ad probably wouldn’t do well in the Tennessee 5,000 adsheet.

You’ll find adsheets in various markets that you can advertise in. Just make sure you pick one that is targeted to your market.

Adsheets used to be extremely popular and well known. Over the years they have become few and far between. In the last few years, however, they have been making a come back. You can now find adsheets in almost any market.

I only know of one site that has a listing of different adsheets. www.AdsheetWeb.com It’s an adsheet directory mainly catering to the opportunity seeker crowd, but is now starting to list adsheets in other markets.

Adsheets are a very inexpensive way to get your ads in front of targeted viewers. You can place ads for as little as $2 or less per camera-ready inch to a circulation of 1,000. The bigger the circulation of the adsheet the more expensive it will be. The general rule of thumb for most publishers is to charge $2 per camera-ready inch.

As you can see adsheet advertising is a great way to get your ads out there and in front of targeted prospects. I encourage you to investigate adsheets further, and use them as part of your marketing strategy.
